Its regarding the 10th Anniversary Edition of the DJ Awards who are delighted to announce that for this year’s event which will take place on Thursday 27th September at Pacha, Ibiza.
This category as with 9 other music categories will be chosen by the public voting via www.djawards.com, voting has now commenced and will close on AUGUST 12, all the nominees will be contacted in the following week on the final decision of the votes.
No is now in its tenth year, this was the first event to solely honour and celebrate those DJs who have influenced dance music across the globe. In the past nine editions, the DJ Awards has grown to become one of the most important and internationally acclaimed events to be held in Ibiza, undoubtedly the hub of the dance music industry during the summer months. International DJŽs such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Frankie Knuckles and Paul Oakenfold to name but a few, have all been past winners. This event continues to be a family reunion amongst the DJ collective, who have come together to celebrate the industry they have contributed so much too.

Voting will also take place via a SMS route this year, we are working in conjunction with Dance4life.com, a charity set up specifically as a direct response to the fact that HIV and AIDS are hitting the world’s young people the hardest. Of the 12,000 people infected every day, more than half are under 25 years old, frightening figures so the more we can direct to this way of voting the more beneficial this will be to those in need, further details will be announced soon via www.djawards.com.
Celebrating 10 years for an award ceremony is a feat in itself, the DJ Awards is the longest running awards of this kind anywhere in the world. Celebrations will be high on the agenda for the night and we hope that you will move heaven and earth to ensure that either Philippe or Patrick or better still both can attend, please let me know as soon as possible if you can achieve either or both!
