Vamos a ésta Fiesta !
Seas, rivers, underwater paradises. Water sounds from Spain, Portugal, Colombia, Australia, Japan, Lebanon and Canada, all gathered for celebrating World Listening Day 2013 and structured in a sequence which aims to build a unified experience where you can actually merge different places and cultures from the neutrality and power of the sound of water.
Leah Barclay – Dolphin Cove: Great Sandy Biosphere Reserve (Queensland, Australia) – “Dolphin Cove is located in Tin Can Bay (Queensland, Australia) in the centre of the UNESCO listed Great Sandy Biosphere Reserve. This soundscape features a series of raw field recordings of three Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins and snapping shrimp (Alpheidae) in Tin Can Bay. The Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphin was removed from the Vulnerable Species list in NSW in 2002 but is still listed as a rare species in Queensland. This particular pod of dolphins has been visiting the cove for the past 30 years and are often hand fed by the local residents and visiting tourists. Their sounds are characterized by burst-pulses, clicks and whistles that can range from 1.2 kHz to 20 kHz.
Rubén García – Pastando En La Pradera (Valencia, Spain) – “Stereo underwater recording of a pond in the region where I born, in the karst interior of the province of Valencia. There was hundreds of tadpoles grazing like cows in the grass (bites in the hydrophones included) along with diverse larvas and aquatic insects. The recording was done at the end of spring 2012.”
Luis Anteró – Río Alva (Sandomil) (Seia, Portugal) – “Sound recording of the river Alva in the village of Sandomil (Seia, Portugal).”

long long time on the Danube!”
