Tiefschwarz Launch New Label “NAU”

Tiefschwarz have inspired a generation of modern producers. The brothers, Ali and Basti Schwarz, founded their group in 1996, and have been releasing music steadily since 1998, over 15 years ago. With a decade spent as globetrotting DJs and producers, they gave birth to their first record label, Souvenir, in 2006. Releasing such artists as Phonique, Avatism, Clockwork, and Re.You, the label has established itself at the forefront of cutting edge tech house and electronic music.

With the experience of Souvenir, Tiefschwarz are launching a new label, called NAU. The group says: “New year, new label. NAU is not only going to be a new platform for us at Souvenir to keep doing what we love best, unearthing future house classics from producers new and old, but also a global party series which had its inaugural Berlin event in December 2012.”

NAU001 features two very different songs. Famed American producer Hollis P. Monroe teams up with vocalist Overnite to deliver “If I’m Alive,” a cut of jacking tech-house. Solid 90’s chords permeate this fun vocal number. Then comes Kenny Leaven’s “Rocket,” a piece of futuristic techno funk with loud electro swells and off-kilter melodies. Not for the faint of heart.
