Video: Matthew Dear – Beams Story

I worked closely with Michael Cina on making the album cover and m ss ng p eces captured the experience. It all started with a phone call between Michael and myself, and quickly grew into the larger idea you see in the video. To put it simply we wanted art to influence art. Jason Charles (Poet), Greg Paulus (Trumpet) and Kiani Del Valle (Dancer) contributed performances throughout the day between Michael and myself. Their respective words, music, and movement were to influence Michael’s brushstrokes. The result was Michael’s portrait of me for the album’s cover image.
